Totally awesome. All the usual suspects are featured on this site of famous painters and their most memorable works: Degas, Renoir, Cassat, Monet, Gaugin, Seurat, Van Gogh and others. I'm going to rummage through here and I'll be sure to make a post or two (or more) in the near future with art from this site.

My brother, who is a major whack-job, just started his brand new blog to post some of his art and various ramblings (his stream-of-consciousness style is fun to read although at times you'll wonder what planet he's from). He is 37 (we both revel in our lifelong quest to remain as immature as possible!), a former missionary to Thailand and a cancer survivor, and I find him incredibly courageous. We both say that if you can't find something to laugh about no matter what the situation, the "bad stuff" in life would really bring you down. His blog title refers to his nickname "The Uniball" (although at times he has also gone by "One Hung Lo"). Cancer runs in my family and we are so thankful that Pete has come through this (nearly) intact. We're both cut from the same cloth, and he's my only full-blooded sibling. Imagine me on a lot of speed with some drawing talent thrown in, morph me into a guy and put me in front of the computer ~ and you'd have him. Ha-ha. Although his blog is in its infancy, it's worth checking out and bookmarking if you're into weird art and juvenile giggles (and no, he isn't selling anything) so please show him some SU love! At the upper right is an image from his short series called "Avocado Abuse" (don't ask me what it means, but there's a plot somewhere in there). Cheers! :-)

Hah. Cute. Love the concept. However, I cannot say that my guns are loaded with flowers and swirly things. :-P~~
Incidentally, I stumbled across this on an image search in Google, and it has nothing to do with what I was searching for but the actual blog on which I found it intrigued me. And having more than a touch of ADHD, naturally I became completely derailed from my initial course and ended up reading this other page. So although I don't often post about personal blogs, I liked this one because to me, it captures the essence of what blogging is: an online journal and posting of items of interest to the blogger. Check out Random Thoughts of Life just to recapture the simple pleasure of reading a blog that shows the varied, daily ramblings of a random individual. Nothing earth-shattering, just that feeling of what blogging was like before it became so commercialized, and before your own pages were constantly under attack by ignorant people who aren't even being forced at gunpoint to read it. Oh, cool, I inadvertently came full circle: from guns to guns ~ with some yapping and a purty picture in between. I make no sense.
