I never did get the whole bunnies/eggs/chocolate thing and how they are in any way related to the reason we in the U.S. actually celebrate Easter, but if you're going to go all out, it's nice to employ a bit of creativity. Too bad there wasn't more "egg art" on the page. Anyhow, I think it's inspired me to go make a bunny sculpture out of grits. "Bad egg. Bad!"

Oh, how cool. Right as I was doing this post, Clogiron was busy furtively sneaking this Mr. Potato Head-Slash-Chocolate Egg hybrid (at right) into my Inbox. I like themes, so I'm posting it. Thanks, Cloggy. :) Bonus: Here's carouselle's explanation of my earlier question:

"I saw your post about Easter in What's New. Easter was originally a pagan or mythological celebration of the coming of Spring and the renewal of the Earth. I believe the rabbit and the egg are symbols of fertility. The chocolate part came about I think by chocolate makers just trying to make a buck. ;)" It's good to have friends that know obscure stuff like this. :-D Frankly though, I think that chocolate eggs resemble oversized rabbit droppings. Happy munching! PS: It seems my Machiavellian plan has been foiled. My friend gluefish claims that "NOTHING will destroy his enjoyment of chocolate. NOT EVEN identifying them with rabbit droppings!" Damn.
